For the majority of my life…

For the majority of my life… I didn't accept my body and ultimately myself because I ALWAYS allowed the words and judgment of others to define my worth. 😔

This affected EVERY area of my life and how I showed up...

👉🏼 in my brand and business and how I marketed/positioned myself or created content…

👉🏼 in my romantic relationships and who I thought I was worthy of attracting…

👉🏼 in my friendships — I ALWAYS felt like I was never good enough or “pretty” enough to attract guys like my friends did…

… and so much more.

And wanna know something fucked up? 🤦🏼‍♀️

My Chinese nickname growing up was: 肥妹 (féi mèi”)

Which LITERALLY translates to:

féi = fat

mèi = girl

Yup… my ENTIRE family called me this growing up 🙃 and they somehow made it sound cute with different tone pitches and ways of saying it (swipe to hear).

So EVER since I was a child… I had the identity of “I am a fat girl” and lived that way. 😔 

I was also told…

🗣 “You’re a fat Asian chink”

🗣 “You’d look prettier if you lost some weight”

Dude... I STILL saw myself as the “fat girl” when I competed in bodybuilding in 2015 at 112lbs…

Like many others…

I carried these childhood wounds with me into adulthood which affected EVERY aspect of my life.

But here’s what I want you to know from what I’ve learned in my roller coaster of a body and self-acceptance journey…

We DO NOT need the approval of anybody else but our own. 👊🏼

We deserve to feel free in our mind AND body…

And healing from my childhood wounds has taught me HOW to have more unconditional love and compassion for myself in EVERY area of my life.

It has been fucking LIFE-changing. 😭

And I know for a fact it’ll be life-changing for you too. 🙏🏽
